Chances are if you found this post you are looking to spruce up your console with a unique Xbox 360 skin. Although the style of the Xbox 360 is indeed impressive, it lacks color options and leaves you wanting for more. The plain white and chrome design might be fine for some but you’re looking for something special – something to set your console apart from your friends. So what options do you have?
Xbox 360 Skins
Xbox 360 skins are actually vinyl decal kits and they have been out for quite a while. These skins for your Xbox 360 are the easiest way to customize your console. They are digitally designed and cut specially for the console. One of the big selling points of these decals is that they can be peeled off whenever you want and they don’t void your warranty. Almost all of the decal kits come with custom Xbox 360 faceplate and Xbox 360 controller skins as well.
The vinyl decal kits are are also virtually fool proof – anyone can apply them to their Xbox 360. Skins for Xbox 360 are also quite durable and will last for years. They also help to protect the system from scratches and wear and tear. We will go more into detail on how to apply and remove these skins in a later post.

Xbox 360 Faceplates
If buying a custom skin or case doesn’t appeal to you, you can always try your hand at making your own Xbox 360 faceplates or just buying a custom faceplate that has already been designed. If you want to pursue designing your own faceplate, you will have to buy a clear faceplate available at many gaming stores and online. Then all you have to do is create an image of the right size and print it out and put the clear Xbox 360 faceplate over it. Most of these cost around the same as the vinyl decal kits and are just as easy to put together. It’s a great way to be able to change your faceplate as much as you’d like.
Painting Your Xbox 360
Another option you might want to consider is painting your Xbox 360. Now this is a lot more complicated then the first option but if you’re looking for a completely custom case that you can style how ever you want, you will probably want to do this. To do this you will have to remove your case so your warranty will be void so be forewarned. We won’t go into all the details here but we will make a post about how to paint a Xbox 360 soon.

Custom Xbox 360 Cases
The best way to make your console stand out and make sure it’s 100% unique, is to have a custom case for Xbox 360 made. If you are the creative type you might just want to do this complete case replacement for fun. Your warranty will be void by taking this path but with that being said, its a great mod for those that want an unrivaled custom look for their console. Custom cases come in all different types but the chrome case is probably the most popular. There are also some other tools out there that will let you submit your own image directly to the manufacturing company who will then design a case based around it.
There is no reason to live with that boring old ugly default color scheme any longer with all the easily available options you have for customizing your Xbox 360. And the great thing is that you don’t even need any real skills or instruction to make them work.
